Performing three selections from Franz Schubert’s Die Winterreise song cycle, as well as an original song with Dr. Bill Schimmel (Tom Waits, Tango Project). Also performing: Dr. Hugo Goldenzweig, Corn Mo, Dr. Denise Koncelik, Dr. Robert Young McMahan, Emanuel Borowsky, and Cecylia Barczyk. Admission is free.
Our special guests for this show are Hovey Burgess and Lil’ Miss Lixx.
Hovey is a circus performer, circus historian and avid fan of the hypercarnivorous maritime animal known as the polar bear. He’s a retired teacher of circus arts, having taught at NYU since 1966 with a bevy of successful graduates who studied the Hovey Burgess Pedogogy. He was the choreographer of the movie Popeye, starring Robin Williams, one of his former pupils.
