New song about Delia Bacon
One of my favorite books is Paul Collins’ Banvard’s Folly: Thirteen Tales of People Who Didn’t Change the World. This song is based on his story about Delia Bacon. I recommend the book.

Yuri Rudel
I got hooked on this guy’s videos sometime last year. Just found out he passed away this month. It’s inspiring that he was banging out videos up until his death.

Rejection Show tonight at Littlefield
Thursday, January 19
BROOKLYN
Littlefield
622 Degraw Street between 3rd and 4th Ave.
8pm
Hosted by Jon Friedman, The Rejection Show Music Series gives musicians the chance to let loose, take risks, and perform songs that have yet to be heard, have gotten them through a time of rejection, or to simply cover their favorite songs of love, loss, and heartbreak.
Also performing are Ted Leo and The Gregory Brothers (Autotune the News). I will play selections rejected from an album, a musical and a deceased hero. -
Grizzly Adams Update
The show has been archived. You can watch it here:
Watch live streaming video from joespub at livestream.comThis is still being workshopped. There may be more readings with updated songs and scripts before the full production.

Grizzly Adams: A Staged Reading
A staged reading of a new musical being developed by the Huntington Theater, about the legendary mountain man and bear tamer Grizzly Adams, tracing his path to stardom from a dirty basement in San Francisco to the streets of the Lower East Side, where he found near-gainful employment with PT Barnum before dying from head injuries sustained in service to his art.
